Summary:
As a Media Preparation Technician, you will play a crucial role in preparing media components in an aseptic clean room environment, ensuring compliance with regulations and Standard Operating Procedures. Your responsibilities will include adhering to production schedules, maintaining documentation to meet regulatory requirements, and supporting cross-functional activities as needed. Additionally, you will be responsible for equipment and facility maintenance, managing inventory, and participating in improvement initiatives. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare media components in an aseptic clean room environment, following USDA regulations and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and complete associated documentation.
- Support cross-functional activities and perform assigned tasks related to departmental functions.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and general upkeep of equipment and facilities.
- Maintain accurate area inventories for raw materials and supplies.
- Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) standards.
- Participate in improvement opportunities and implement selected ideas, including deviation and change control management.
- Escalate issues related to personnel, processes, and products to appropriate leaders.
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Assist with training and coaching of current and new employees.
- Demonstrate a commitment to HSE, Lean Principles, and the organization's values.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Basic math skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and training abilities.
- Knowledge of current GMPs and USDA requirements.
- Equipment/process troubleshooting skills and cleanroom/aseptic technique knowledge.
- Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Biology or a relevant field with laboratory experience. Manufacturing experience is a plus.
