What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor - English/Spanish Bilingual Preferred position at York Building Products - Masonry?
Principal Responsibilities:
- Meets production demands by scheduling and assigning personnel; adhering to production schedule; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules as necessary; resolving problems; reporting results of the production.
- Maximize production output and labor efficiency while ensuring product quality meets company standards.
- Works with maintenance team to achieve consistent operation of production equipment by calling for repairs in a timely fashion and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed.
- Maintains emphasis on controlling losses by minimizing waste and breakage.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the production area of the plant.
- Maintain an accident free work environment by working with safety team and leading by example.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) abilities strongly desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills.
- High School diploma/GED required; Associate Degree Preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word a plus
- Prior supervisory experience along with construction, masonry or production experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Physical Capabilities:
- Able to tolerate long periods of standing and walking.
- Perform frequent pushing, pulling, hand gripping and grasping, bending at waste.
- Lift 50 lbs.
