York Wallcoverings, a worldwide leader in the design and manufacture of wallcoverings and wall décor, is searching for a Color Mixer and Printer to join our Handscreen/Studio team in York, PA.

These positions either mix color to match CAD targets and/or maintain a screen press to generate strike offs. Additional duties could include printing-running equipment, utilities and pre-press.

PRIMARY DUTIES

  • HANDSCREEN DEPARTMENT
  • Color mixing
  • Mix inks to match CAD color targets and work with stylists to achieve desired results
  • Printing
  • Operate and maintain screen press to generate strike offs
  • Pre-press
  • Set up files and maintain screen log / burn in screens / re-tension, build, coat and reclaim screens

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, GED or 2/4-year degree with printing / art focus.
  • Color Mixing experience preferred
  • Printing Press operation experience helpful
  • Photoshop experience a plus
  • Must be able to work OT as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, pivot/twist, use foot and hand controls.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. floor to waist, lift at least 23 lbs. knuckle to shoulder, lift at least 23 lbs. shoulder to overhead, carry at least 23 lbs., and push and pull at least 40 lbs. of force ALL on a FREQUENT basis
  • Good communication skills and able to work well with others
  • Must pass a physical demands test

MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS

Individual must demonstrate the following sensory requirements in order to perform manual tasks: color discrimination, depth perception, near vision, field vision, temperature discrimination, tactile discrimination, and talking/interacting with others. Must pass a color hue test
