Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data collection, quality systems, QA/QC, FDA regulations, CGMP, precision measuring instruments, quality inspection, quality audits, and quality management.
Job Duties:
- Inventory Management: Efficiently receive, organize, and maintain inventory systems for incoming vehicles.
- Condition Reports: Conduct mechanical and cosmetic condition reports for all incoming inventory.
- Repair Estimates: Generate initial repair estimates, assessing necessary repairs and associated costs.
- Inventory Assignment: Determine appropriate categorization of vehicles for wholesale or retail distribution.
- Pricing Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to establish competitive pricing strategies for parts.
- Mechanical Repairs: Perform mechanical repairs at a b-tech level, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. (Rapid Recon or Customer repairs)
- Quality Assurance: Review and approve the final completion of vehicles after repairs are conducted.
- Audits: Conduct inventory and mechanical audits to maintain standards and compliance.
- Vehicle Logistics: Help coordinate the movement of vehicles between lots or to auction sites efficiently.
- Retail Strategy: Explore wholesale options, including platforms like OVE, to optimize sales for aged inventory.
- Process Optimization: Identify and implement improvements on units designated for wholesale to enhance outcomes.
- Customer Assistance: Provide support to customers with minor mechanical issues, offering guidance and solutions.
- Vehicle Inspection: Inspect vehicles at auctions and wholesale establishments to assess quality.
- Vehicle Evaluation: Evaluate private party and trade-in vehicles conditions to report to buy team.
Skills Required:
1. Mechanical Expertise: Candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various aspects of automotive mechanics, including conducting mechanical repairs at a b-tech level and performing comprehensive vehicle inspections.
2. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using automotive diagnostic tools and software for parts identification and troubleshooting.
3. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational abilities are essential for efficiently managing inventory systems, conducting audits, and coordinating vehicle logistics effectively.
4. Parts Knowledge: A deep understanding of automotive parts and their functionalities. This includes familiarity with parts sourcing, pricing, and compatibility, enabling repair estimates.
