Job Description
Primary day-to-day role of Report Automation Analyst is to develop and maintain scripts to generate high quality research reports
Create visually appealing displays of quantitative survey data into charts, graphs, tables
Develop scripts to produce reports and deliverables into Powerpoint and Google Slides
Use working knowledge of statistical tests to ensure accurate interpretation of data
Confirm report data accuracy
Maintain, update reporting scripts as needed
Collaborate cross-functionally with researchers, statisticians, survey programmers and developers of YouGov’s proprietary data tools
Train and assist researchers in how to maintain scripts to generate reports as needed
Qualifications
Highly proficient with R and experience using RStudio. Experienced with constructing functions, debugging code and familiar with using packages for visualization (dplyr, ggplot2, tidyverse, officer, etc.)
Experience using R Projects/R Markdown preferred
Insightful, quantitative thinker who excels at data analysis and visualization
Takes initiative to learn new things
Desire to improve upon existing processes, with a passion for efficiency
Persistence to troubleshoot and refine scripts until error-free
Working knowledge of statistical tests commonly used in social science research
Able to manage time and work product to meet deadlines
Able to work independently with some direction
Experience with PowerPoint and G Suite (Sheets, Slides)
Experience with Github preferred
Some experience with social science research including common variable types, considerations when presenting and analyzing survey data
