Lifeguard/Swim Instructor - Summer Camp
Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade.

Responsibilities:
The Sprout Brooklyn Aquatics Team oversees all swimming activities as well as implement a learn-to-swim program.

Swim Instructors/Lifeguards provide swim instruction for camper and ensure a safe swim environment.

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor Requirements:

  • At least 17 years of age or older
  • Previous lifeguarding & swim instruction experience
  • Valid Lifeguarding & CPR/AED Certification or equivalent certifications

Sprout Brooklyn values staff that are positive and flexible team players who are excited to spend the summer with young campers and staff. The ideal candidate is excited about camp life and feels comfortable wearing multiple hats and will never say that a task “isn’t their job”.

We are looking for a mature, responsible, energetic individuals for our lifeguard/swim instructor positions. Camp runs from the June 24 – August 16. Staff training is June 17, 18, 20 & 23.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • Lifeguard Training (Preferred)

Work Location: In person

Salary : $20 - $25
