Summary Young Living is looking for a high-energy, self-motivated, results-driven Batching Operator. This position plays a significant role in providing product for production and contract manufactures. This individual adds and blends raw materials to create a bulk final product. Follows detailed instruction to ensure quality of product and speed of process. Verifies all raw materials, finished batches, and other materials as needed for the batching process. Ensures cleanliness and organization of materials in batching, storage areas, and warehouse management system/applications. Performs line clearance to ensure that previous paperwork, resources and area has been cleaned and returned to the designated location. Follow processes and instructions with exactness and consistency 2. Use a detailed-oriented approach to ensure proper checks are completed and batching errors are minimized 3. Add ingredients to batches according to work instructions 4. Filter and blend ingredients as needed 5. Keep a clean, organized workstation 6. Record all information required on records and logs accurately and clearly, and enter data from completed batches 7. Communicate effectively with coworkers to ensure processes are followed 8. Knowledgeable and fully trained on the pH meter, ROSS mixer, and stove by completing the training for each 9. Efficient and effective operation of all equipment used in batching 10. Work Environment This job operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment and the employee is required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and or OSHA safety gear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold and/or extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment may be loud. A large portion of the duties of this job may be performed in the cold. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to use manual dexterity to handle, feel, and operate objects, tools and controls, and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stand, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance and frequently move up to 400 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This position requires shift work. The regular schedule is from 7 am to 3:30 pm or from 3pm to 11:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional extended hours and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent, and three to twelve months of similar or related experience. Preferred Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent, and one to three years of similar or related experience. NOTE: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
