The Treasure Valley Family YMCA’s Child Development programs support children in their ongoing growth to ensure that they are ready for the next educational milestone, whether that be preschool, kindergarten, middle school, or high school.
The Summer CDL Bus Driver provides safe transportation to and from program sites while maintaining a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals.
Responsibilities:
- Drive YMCA bus safely according to YMCA policies and procedures and state laws.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with participants, families, staff, and volunteers.
- Create a safe environment in which others feel welcome and respected.
- Ensure YMCA bus rules are announced and followed.
- Complete thorough pre- and post- trip checks each day.
- Clean out YMCA bus vehicle each day.
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 1 year bus driver experience is preferred.
- Must be able to meet YMCA transportation/driving requirements.
- Must be able to engage others in conversations and make all people feel welcome.
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to safety and emergency situations.
Schedule:
This is a seasonal full-time position at 30 hours weekly. Schedule requirements are 8:30am-4:00pm 3-4 days a week.
