POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Learn & Play Center Staff will be responsible for assisting in planning and implementing all curriculum and program activities in the Learn & Play center. This individual guides the development of children, ensuring a safe, enriching and healthy environment. This position works as part of a team to deliver professional customer service and builds relationships to create a welcoming environment. The individual will also exhibit the core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility in all aspects of their work with the YMCA.
JOB LOCATION: Wellmark YMCA
SHIFTS AVAILABLE: Monday through Thursday 4:30pm - 8:30pm; 15-20 hours available per week.
PAY RATE: $10.50-$12.00/hour

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise and lead children in the Learn & Play Center.
- Help to plan, organize, and deliver activities and programs.
- Demonstrate and teach activities.
- Develop positive relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and co-workers.
- Help cultivate a positive culture by modeling healthy relationships and open communication.
- Lead the Learn & Play Center in creating a compassionate and nurturing environment.
- Follow program standards in regards to safety, cleanliness, and age appropriate programming and interactions.
- Know emergency procedures and be able to demonstrate them.
- Report specific problems or needs to supervisor or designated staff person.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or designated staff person.
- Demonstrate and support the objectives of the Association as embodied in the mission statement and values.
Salary : $11 - $12
