Description
Infrastructure and Workplace Tech (I&W) Services is responsible for maintaining and operating the underlying infrastructure (e.g. network, storage, servers) and the workplace technology (Teams/O365 Outlook, Teams rooms, Teams on Mobile) required to support business applications, processes and end users, short and longer term planning to ensure supportability, bringing innovative technology concepts to increase operational efficiency, decrease operational cost or extend additional services to business partners.
The O365 Delivery Manager manages O365 product releases. This includes working with the technical product team to evaluate and estimate effort of backlog items, prioritizing the backlog together with the business, managing the work into successful releases, coordinating with the O365 QA resource for release testing and with the O365 Analyst for release communication and training for adoption. This resource requires agile skills and experience managing a backlog, sprints and releases.
Responsibilities:
- Managing O365 product releases and resources
- Vendor management; some backlog items may be awarded to vendor(s)
- Maintains relationship with Microsoft and engages for assistance with backlog items as needed
- Management of cost, schedule, performance, quality, and risk parameters
- Provides positive and effective direction to project team members
- Integrates activities with other departments: business, Legal, IT Security
- Anticipates and identifies issues inhibiting the attainment of goals; develops and implements corrective actions as necessary
Skills Required:
- Six years of agile project management, demonstrating leadership skills and possessing a track record of managing technical staff and financial resources (cross-functional experience highly desirable)
- Experience in highly parallel work environments with projects utilizing iterative, and incremental approaches to achieve their objectives.
- 3 years of experience managing MS Project schedules, resource management, status reporting
- Experience with purchase of IT goods and services leveraging a corporate purchasing department
