American Vision Group is seeking a talented and qualified Front Desk Representative to join our growing group. We are a leading national eyecare service platform, partnering with the most respected eye care practices in the country so providers can focus on delivering the best medical and surgical eye care services. As a Front Desk Representative, you are the first impression for our new and current patients. This critical role is to assist patients with making their appointments and answering questions callers typically ask. This candidate will need to be able to verbally communicate a warm welcome and concern for the caller's needs.
FRONT DESK REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greeting all incoming and outgoing patients, monitoring patient flow.
- Answering telephones, scheduling, and confirming patient appointments.
- Processing insurance information, processing payments, and communicating with doctors, staff, and patients.
- Scheduling patient appointments.
- Electronically verifying patient insurance benefits.
- Quickly and efficiently answer questions most callers ask and document a short summary in the patient’s medical record.
- Provide appropriate triage for callers, when needed.
- Support the team with confirming appointments, managing voicemails and digital communications.
- Must work well with all ages of the public.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
FRONT DESK REPRESENTATIVE QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate to patients of diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
- General computer proficiency
- Customer service oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills and multitasking ability.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality of patient medical information, team member and employer confidentiality. Comply with all HIPAA regulations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- One (1) year of Medical Office experience (Preferred)
- One (1) year of Customer Service experience (Preferred)
TO QUALIFY APPLICANTS MUST PASS:
- A level two background check, which includes a fingerprint check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
