Description
This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the collaborative process in Community Partnership School related to extended learning and enrichment programs.
Essential Functions:
• Coordinate the development and implementation of the Before/After School program.
• Coordinate academic, cultural and recreational programming.
• Maintain sign-in logs and participant files with all required paperwork.
• Oversee facility management including safety, classroom, security and transportation.
• Maintain accurate distribution and accounting of the feeding/snack program.
• Submit all required documents on a timely basis including attendance, snack counts, etc.
• Establish and maintain partnership/communication with community based organizations, school staff and other collaborators.
• Establish and maintain contracts and data sharing agreements with providers, instructors and other collaborators.
• Coordinate evaluation process, including surveys of students, parents and staff.
• Facilitate regular after school meetings and professional development.
• Assist with general clerical office tasks as needed.
• Maintain files and records as required; maintain program statistics and prepare reports.
• Recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist in after school programming.
• Understands and respects the diversity of economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds and situations
• Familiarity with the public school system and the communities it supports
• Participate in the quality improvement process.
• Other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
Education & Experience: Minimum or three years’ experience in education and/or community outreach. Experience serving as an advocate for children and parents and preferably in an educational setting, building community relationships and convening enrichment programs. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Services or related field is preferred. Valid Florida driver’s license with reliable transportation and insurance.
Communication Skills: Excellent communications skills (verbal and written). Strong public speaking and presentation skills. Ability to analyze data, identifying problems and trends. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills and strong ability to network and engage others. Flexibility to include ability to work evenings and weekends when needed.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills that allow for creating Word, Power Point, and Excel documents are required.
Interpersonal Skills: Must display professionalism in the day-to-day operations of the office, which includes response to feedback, direction, suggestions, accepting responsibility, working as a team player, volunteering when needed, reporting whereabouts, promoting a cohesive working environment. Must also display professionalism in communications and on-going working relationship with outside agencies, parents and organizations.
