Description:
Description/Basic Purpose
Serve as the technical subject matter expert providing Level 2 support. Develop solutions for importing customer data into Pega CDH on Pega Cloud. Guide the design, development, and support of Navy Federal applications for Pega Marketing. Solve complex problems and collaborate with teams to meet operational objectives. Provide support for application analysis, code review, design, and programming. Work independently.
Responsibilities
- Support Level 2 engineers for Pega applications.
- Address incidents and problems across Pega applications.
- Coordinate Level 3 support when needed.
- Provide daily operational support and manage recovery operations.
- Develop and maintain documentation for environments.
- Monitor performance and schedule maintenance activities.
- Offer technical support and troubleshooting.
- Analyze applications for process improvements.
- Conduct unit testing for software defects.
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compatibility by integrating solutions with existing applications.
- Develop and maintain APIs.
- Document best practices and implement integration plans.
- Develop custom integration components based on business needs.
- Ensure security, integrity, and compliance with industry standards.
- Work with business leadership to understand data requirements.
- Serve on teams for various projects.
- Maintain effective relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively.
- Flexible to on-call rotation and weekend shifts.
- Certified Pega Senior System Architect with experience in Customer Decision Hub (CDH).
Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience).
- Working knowledge of banking/financial industry standards and practices.
- Advanced understanding of SQL.
- Experience processing various file types.
- ITIL Service Operations experience, including Incident, Problem, & Alert Management.
- Hands-on experience with Pega 8.x, PostgresQL, and Cassandra.
- Experience with services and connectors/APIs.
- Ability to understand and create data models.
- Proficiency with data pages, user interfaces, job schedulers, and report definitions.
- Experience with dataflows and datasets.
- Knowledge of PRPC Architecture and Pega design/implementation.
- Expertise in Pega Application packaging, deployment, DevOps, security, rulesets, portals, reports, and other Pega OOTB tools.
- Excellent communication and change management skills.
- Experience leading and training junior team members on Pega applications and incidents.
- Experience with PDC, server, and agents monitoring.
Desired:
- Experience analyzing log files and reports from application sources.
- 5 years in application support and incident/problem management.
- 5 years supporting Pega applications.
- Experience with Pega Cloud.
- Pega Certified System/Senior System Architect.
- Experience with all Pega products including Deployment Manager and CDH.
- Extensive debugging skills in PRPC using tracer, clipboard, and rules inspector.
