Accounts Receivable Specialist

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to collect outstanding freight for RORO business.

WORK EXPERIENCE:  

-1 years of prior collections/credit experience preferred.

-Transportation experience a plus.

This position is with NYK Group Americas Inc.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing collection activities
• Invoicing customers
• Initiating refund/write off requests
• Applying funds received
• Be backup to other A/R Specialists

ADA  Requirements: Physical Requirements:

The employee is primarily seated while performing the duties of the position.  Occasional walking, stooping, filing, lifting, or standing is required.  The hands are regularly used to write, type, file, key, and handle or feel small controls and objects.  The employee must frequently talk and be able to hear.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

SPECIAL SKILLS (Computer training, quality training, special programs)

• Ability to interpret and apply corporate policies and procedures and meet deadlines
• Ability to analyze, research and resolve discrepancies
• Intermediate or higher PC Skills including Excel, Word, PDF
• Detailed understanding of accounts receivable concepts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• 3 years of prior collections/credit experience preferred
• Transportation experience a plus
