What are the responsibilities and job description for the EH&S Manager position at Yusi technologies?
Ensure the HSE competence in the site. Develop, implement and realize the site HSE plan. As well, develop and structure the HSE processes in order to ensure HSE compliance with all applicable laws, external and internal regulations and standards included ISO management systems on environment. Co-create a safety culture towards Zero Incident by engaging, developing and empowering Safety mindset and behaviors across the site employees.
Key areas of accountability:
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of the compliance or site strategy and annual Operations Plan, in cooperation with the colleague management team members
- Define the annual HSE plan, including a HSE audit plan, seek approval for it and implement and manage the execution of this plan in accordance with the corporate multiyear plan (CMYP)
- Monitor the execution of the HSE plan and take corrective actions in order to achieve the results. Periodically verify the effectiveness of the HSE plan
- Develop and implement a training program regarding HSE
- Support/inspire and drive Site in achieving a zero injuries/zero incidents working environment, through training and creating awareness, development and implementation of Covestro HSE and Security Programs, performance analysis, inspections, etc.
- Responsible for initiating and developing the right change, including leading the direct part of it and supporting any indirect (line management responsibility) parts
- Show leadership on HSE and Security as the highest ranking professional within the Site
- Define and implement performance indicators and ensure periodical reporting of actual performance against these indicators
- Ensure to have the appropriate HSE system in place and maintained, in line with all applicable laws, regulations and standards
- Identify site specific HSE issues and put forward to site line management.
- Support the implementation of agreed upon improvement plans
- Plan, execute and follow up on HSE audits, in order to ensure that activities are carried out according to approved policies and procedures
- Ensure that deficiencies found during the HSE audits are translated into corrective actions, monitor the execution of the corrective actions and escalate to the appropriate management level, if and where required
- Ensure site compliance with all applicable internal and external HSE requirements, regulations and standards
- Set up and maintain the relevant network with external stakeholders and represent the site towards external parties on HSE topics and issues
- Stay abreast of both internal and external developments with regard to HSE related laws, regulations and requirements and all other HSE related matters
- Formulate, get approval and manage the yearly cost budget for the HSE department.
- Establish the plan for emergency response and preventing occupational accidents provide guidance and assist various departments in plan implementation
- Ensure employee health is properly monitored via routine medical testing and evaluation
- Provide HSE inputs and assistance in formulation of standard operational procedures (SOP).
- Ensure that the HSE_Management system complies with the Covestro Corporate requirements
- Inform the Management team about HSE performance and opportunities for improvement
- Follow and comply with Covestro Values and HR policies and minimum requirements and guidelines
- Ensure HSE documentation is organized and readily available to 3rd parties for audit review
- Define audit areas, procedures and systems for effective HSE auditing and management.
- Set up, advise in implementation/execution and maintenance procedures and manuals according to Covestro Requirements, best practices and applicable standards. (ISO, OHSAS and others)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, environmental safety or similar field, with additional qualifications in HSE and Safety Management Systems
At least 4 years in manufacturing working with EH&S systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Broad knowledge of related manufacturing disciplines OSHA-Local State Regulations
Education in hazardous material management
Behavioral Based safety Programs
People management skills
Process safety experience preferred

Salary: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
