Non-exempt, Full-time 40 hours per week

How does this position make an impact on the community? The facilities department provides support to YWCA programs and staff by keeping up with maintenance requests both here at The Meadowlark and at our Secret Seconds thrift store locations. Our facilities team regularly maintains our buildings, coordinates grounds keeping and completes scheduled in house custodial tasks to ensure our facilities are safe, beautiful and clean providing our residents and staff with a place where they are treated with diginity and respect.

- Mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance

Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year maintenance and/or custodial experience (required)
- Highschool Diploma or equivalency diploma (required)
- Ability to pass a background check designed to protect women and children in our shelters and programs.
- Has a valid current driver's license
Some of what you’ll do in this position:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions
- Conduct inspections to ensure facilities are in compliance with safety standards
- Clean and maintain restrooms, kitchen and common areas
- Assist with resident room turnovers and preparation for vacancies.
- Perform detailed cleaning of facililties on regular basis including floor and carpet cleaning.
What else you should know: This position is full-time, 40 hours per week. The schedule is Monday through Friday 8am to 4pm. The base wage for this position starts at $18/hour – higher wage would be based on experience calculated using YWCA Missoula’s wage matrix.
