Job Description
Summary
To provide academic support for students and leadership for staff to ensure that the program goals are met: help each student improve academic performance, make learning fun, encourage reading, motivate students to attend school everyday, help each student learn time management skills, and help each student achieve a positive self-image.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties as may be assigned.
· Implements the Homework Zone program
· Provides support to children with completing homework assignments and then check for accuracy
· Maintains accurate attendance and program records
· Tracks and reports on outcomes
· Greets students as they enter the program and facilitates the sign in process
· Supervises teacher assistants, tutors, volunteer, and other program staff
· Ensures that staff and students know each other by name
· Ensures teaching materials, prizes, and craft materials are available. Requests supplies from the YWCA as needed
· Facilitates communication with families regarding student progress
· Notifies YWCA supervisor of any needed referrals for crisis intervention situations observed in students, which includes serving as a mandated reporter for incidents of suspected abuse

- Certified Teacher or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field
- Must be patient and encouraging

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
This position will occasionally require the employee to work outdoors, and sometimes in hot weather. The work environment usually has moderate noise, and occasionally has loud noise.
Warminster location: M-R 3:30-5pm
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Pay: $20.00 per hour
