Office Medical Billing Associate

ZOe Pediatrics is actively seeking experienced Medical Billing Associates to join our team! As a Medical Billing Associate, you will play a vital role in our revenue generation process by submitting claims to insurance companies, posting payments, managing patient accounts, and ensuring the timely collection of outstanding balances. We are looking for individuals who are computer savvy, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.

Upon completion of a 90-day probationary period, this position qualifies for our comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical insurance, paid time off (PTO), and paid holidays.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in basic computer functions
• Familiarity with ICD-10 coding
• Experience with insurance verification and eligibility
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute (WPM)
• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED), or higher
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Reviewing eligibility and verifying benefits for patients
• Preparing and submitting electronic primary insurance claims
• Processing electronic secondary claims upon approval from primary insurers
• Posting insurance and patient payments through electronic or manual methods
• Following up with insurance companies to resolve unpaid, denied, or rejected claims

License:

• Driver's License/Transportation (Required)

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
