Responsibilities of a Paratransit Driver:
- Safely operate a wheelchair-accessible vehicle to transport passengers to and from their destinations.
- Assist passengers with boarding, securing mobility aids, and exiting the vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a courteous and professional demeanor at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure the safety of passengers and fellow road users.
- Keep the vehicle clean and well-maintained, reporting any issues promptly to management.
Requirements of a Paratransit Driver:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor when assisting passengers with disabilities.
- Flexibility in scheduling, including weekends and evenings if required.
