What are the responsibilities and job description for the Job Placement Coach & Coordinator position at ZABS Place?
We're ZABS Place - a thrift boutique in Matthews, NC with a mission of training and employing local young adults with special needs and talents.
We're all about learning, sharing, making mistakes, growing, making dreams come true, and having tons of fun. We absolutely love what we do and it seems that the community does too, because we're growing! That's why we're looking to hire someone to join our Coaching and Placement team. Our Job Coaches work with our Special Talent to help them recognize their strengths and learn and master skills to achieve their individual goals.
Our Placement Coach & Coordinator would work with our Coaches and Special Talent to help identify appropriate externships & internships at local businesses that are aligned with the dreams, interests and unique skills of each of our Talent.
We're all about asking questions to get minds in motion. So how will you know if you're the right fit?
Ask yourself these questions:
-
*Was I ever asked, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" *How would I feel if I'd never been asked that question? *Do I see people's potential? *Am I patient with others? *Is teaching someone to ride a bike exciting or frustrating? *Am I a realist or an idealist? *Does "change" scare me? (not the $ kind.) *Am I excited to learn new things or would I prefer to stick with what I know? *Would the term "Role Model" excite or overwhelm me? *Do I notice the details in things or am I all about the big picture?
We won't tell you what your answers should be, but at least you know what we'll be interested in finding out when you come meet us and our incredible team.
