Planner 16

The basic function of this role is to develop planned job packages for maintenance repair work and improvement projects based on priorities. The job plans must fully satisfy the notification scope and include all material, services, resources and appropriate scheduling logic between individual operations or tasks. 

• Providing necessary planning information that insures safe and efficient execution of all jobs
• Making sure the notification has proper detail with in the description
• If not add comments in the long text, reject the notification and notify the OMC immediately
• Participating in the management of notification and work order backlog by:
• Reviewing backlog and planning list for duplicates
• Grouping notifications together that can be planned and worked as a single order that optimizes utilization of resources
• Ensuring plans are in place that meets the timing requirements of the process units
• Understanding of job scope through notification text and field walk through with the OMC
   

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Changing notification(s) to work orders which includes:
• Ensuring that order type and maintenance activity types are accurately assign on the order
• Using or creating task list for repetitive jobs
• Using or creating BOM's where needed
• Review SAP to see if there is an existing PM that will soon generate (within a month) that can be manually called to cover the work scope and/or the needs of the job
• Identify all required SMP's to complete identified work scopes.

Building job plan that clearly shows:

• All required information, and required documentation such as MOC information, QAQC needs, piping sketches, ect.
• Verify all required crafts and duration
• Verify all required specialty tools, equipment
• Enter complete SAP scheduling logic into job plans
• Enter reservation or purchase requisition for necessary components
• Identify a safety photograph in all priority work orders identified as low, medium, high priority
• Determines if an MOC is required for the job, If required enters MOC into the order status and communicates back to the OMC
• Determines if drafting is required for job plans, if required enters ENG (Engineering Support Needed) in the order status field and communicates back to the OMC, Drafting, Engineering, and Inspections departments
• Enters order status of (APRT) if job packages are waiting on materials
• Determines if JSA's, exceptions, or waivers are required, if required enters HOLD into the order status field and communicate the request to the unit OMC
• Verifies to see if an equipment-based task list exist prior to building the job packages on repetitive work scopes and create task list when one is not available
• Reference equipment history to compare previous job plans and update the task list as needed
• Create equipment-based BOM's as necessary
• Review daily PM work order list if no materials or services are required, change status to RSSH (ready to schedule), or APRT if job packages are waiting on materials
• Enters all service requisitions required for third-party services and rental equipment
• Reviews and completes planner feedback documentation and makes changes as necessary to equipment-based task list
• Reviews/enters third-party change orders in SAP (adders) upon review and approval from the Maintenance Supervisor for additional services
• Participation in the identification and implementation of reliability driven improvements
• Participates in the weekly scheduling meeting 

The following will be measured and this position held accountable

• Percent order types
• Calling any PM's within a month and linking the notification (if ops has entered one) to the PM so they can both be worked together
• Order documentation (order types, order statuses)
• Percent jobs planned using saved job plans
• Planned vs. actual cost
• Continue to improve plan updates from planner feedback forms

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 Years of relevant experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of SAP CMMS
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
