Summary
We are looking for an innovative Social Media Marketer to oversee our growing social content department (School), consisting of Content Creators, Producers, Editors and more. You are an original thinker and a leader in the social media space with a firm handle on current trends, platforms, and products, as well as a vision for the future of how social media is evolving and how we can help our clients evolve with it. The ideal candidate is passionate about modern culture and can work across a variety of brand categories. You will have a passion and hunger for the new and can lead a team to create forward-thinking social campaigns that are innovative and effective.
You are able to cultivate and lead client relationships, and aren’t afraid to lead strategically and creatively when the need arises. A natural storyteller, you are a social media maven and have held various positions in the content space and have had experience at a leading creative agency, production studio, and/or in-house at a brand. Most recently you may have held a role as a producer, account person, strategist or a creator, but most importantly you are passionate with a deep understanding of social and content marketing.
This position will report to the Head of Content.
The role will start out remotely and will eventually be based in our Culver City office.
Responsibilities
- Lead Social Content team strategically, creatively and with a mindset for growing the department and the business overall
- Oversee the creation of content that aligns with our clients’ strategies across multiple platforms and channels
- Keep up with current trends in social media including new products and platforms
- Collaborate with social strategist, creative producers, external brand partners, talent, and influencers to bring shareable, effective content to life in the market
- Partner with strategy, production, account, and new business teams on the development of new business and the growth of current client relationships.
- Support the team and bring to bear a deep rolodex of established and up-and-coming artists (designers, editors, content creators, etc) and influencers to bring creative ideas to life
Requirements
- 8 years experience working in a creative environment with a concentration in social content marketing
- General knowledge of popular culture and influencers a must
- Ability to develop both a creative and strategic vision to articulate to clients and the larger team
- Ability to oversee the conceptualization and execution of dynamic, engaging, and effective content campaigns
- Ability to help create and oversee pitches for new business
- Organized self starter that is ambitious, entrepreneurial and flexible with demands of a fast-paced environment
- Collaborative, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask
- Ability to quickly pitch and execute innovative, next level concepts
- General knowledge of Adobe and G-Suite a must, ability to create social content a plus
