Zantech is looking for a talented Interface Solutions Architect to support our Federal Client during a cutting-edge enterprise information technology implementation. The Interface Engineer/Specialist will be a crucial part of the Defense integrated Business Systems Program (PM DIBS) which integrates financial, real property, cost, and performance data into a Web-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
The Interface Solutions Architect will be the SME responsible for leading an Integrated Process Team (IPT) in the development of system interfaces. This includes the creation, update, review and maintenance of system interface design documentation and software code. They shall use engineering best practices to develop, test, and maintain interfaces with key financial interface partners. They should have a proven track record of leading teams and coordinating with stakeholders in the development of Defense Business or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. They should exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a high paced environment.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Participate in many aspects of the software development lifecycle: requirements generation, design, code, verification and test, maintenance, and support; and overall integration of software modules and other subsystem components, both commercial and custom. Support frequently requires troubleshooting and research into reports, processes, interfaces and data structures, both delivered and customized
- Developing and reviewing system interface designs for completion and accuracy to include hardware, software, and interface details
- Coordinating with interface partners to lead design meetings and manage system interface agreements.
- Organize, conduct, and providing technical engineering information to adapt, automate, and develop new systems, enhance performance, or solve existing problems.
- Investigate software engineering design and development methodologies.
- Adhering to all required software life cycle requirements and processes
- Performing detailed planning and project support activities including work breakdown structure, estimates, status reporting and project closeout specific to interface development and testing initiatives.
- Collaborating with developers, test engineers and architects to author and promote product level interface development strategies and plan artifacts that support the implementation of a new defense business system.
- Performing complex analysis of business and technical requirements and specifications while ensuring traceability to requirements.
- Providing detailed status reporting, metrics and execution dashboards.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations to resolve system issues; plan and conduct software engineering analysis.
- Analyzing interface risks and communicating mitigation options to stakeholders.
Required Security Clearance:
- US Citizenship and an Active Secret Clearance or higher per contract requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BA/BS in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, Systems/Software Engineering or equivalent related field
- 7 years’ experience defining/leading software engineering and interface development activities in a government environment (DOD/Army preferred)
- 7 years’ experience with Defense Business System or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system development.

- Familiarization with Waterfall and Agile software testing methodologies/processes
