Job Overview:
We are seeking a technically proficient and passionate individual to lead and grow our team by driving the development and implementation of next-generation battery systems across various applications. This position focuses on managing the completion of engineering deliverables in conjunction with manufacturing timelines and project costing. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management from concept to final product, a demonstrated ability to work in smaller, agile environments, and knowledge of operations dependencies for future expansion.

\n- Establish scheduling, budget, critical paths, and technology risk areas for execution through the final delivery of the product.
- Support product definition and drive the closure of issues in the early stages of a project.
- Lead internal and external multi-functional teams in engineering and validation activities.
- Understand and communicate sophisticated technical issues.
- Identify and resolve conflicts, interdependencies, and program issues quickly and efficiently.
- Escalate risks to the executive team, communicating potential impacts and providing recommendations for mitigation.
- Apply operations knowledge to support future production and quality enhancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, and industrial engineering or a related field.
- 6 years of experience, including program management or related work.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to mitigating issues.
- Strong communication (oral and written) skills, capable of summarizing complex information concisely.
- Basic understanding of electronics and communication protocols, with a curiosity for how things work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with team management software such as Asana, Monday.com, Slack, or similar.
- Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software and Program Management tools.
- Ability to work in person at our Carlsbad, California-based HQ.
- Experience in both technical and management environments.
- Understanding of PCB design, power supply design, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, process engineering, or supply chain management.
- Experience working in smaller, agile companies or startups.
- Strong desire to learn and grow with a young company.
- Experience working with regulatory bodies and managing compliance processes, including UL certification.
- Ability to effectively orchestrate and coordinate between engineering teams and test labs to ensure adherence to industry standards.
