Manager, Digital Delivery

DEFINITION

The individual in this role will coordinate the development and release activities for the Zaxbys product development team and 3rd party partners. The Digital Delivery Manager will schedule, plan, and control the development and delivery process. They will facilitate agile/scrum ceremonies, coordinate vendor dependencies, oversee software releases, manage change control process, and monitor quality and testing activities. The Digital Delivery Manager will ensure all projects are delivered on time, within stipulated scope, on budget, and with expected quality.

Receives direction from and reports directly to the VP, Product Development & Delivery

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Essential duties may include but are not limited to the following:

• Ensures all projects are delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget
• Leads the initiation and planning of a project and ensures resource availability and allocation
• Develops a detailed plan and release calendar to monitor and track the progress of the project
• Coordinates activities with vendors project managers and scrum masters
• Schedules agile ceremonies, vendor meetings, and release readiness meetings for each project and work stream
• Identifies task dependencies and coordinates with internal and external parties to remove impediments and drive open issues to resolution
• Manages change to project scope, schedules, and budget
• Manages the release and change control process to ensure all changes are documented, no unnecessary changes are made, and operational services are not disrupted
• Measures overall project performance using appropriate project management tools, and reports and escalates to upper management as needed
• Ensures sprint goals are met with minimal carry over to the next sprint
• Monitors QA activities and ensures features are tested appropriately and meet quality standards
• Oversees defect management and reports testing metrics
• Performs risk management analysis to reduce project risks in all aspects of the delivery environment; impact assessment to Consumers, Operations, Finance/Accounting, Marketing, etc.
• Leads the launch activities to ensure operational readiness and proper deployment of software to the production environment
• Ensures turnover processes are performed efficiently
• Tracks operational impacts and business process changes to ensure departmental readiness
• Manages the product release and delivery communications plan and acts as single point of contact for Product Managers, Operations Leadership, Digital/Tech Leadership and Digital/Tech Operations. Makes communications with Business Integration teams a priority and participates in updates with all execution functions within the company.
• Publishes release calendar activities in accordance with Product Management, Development and Delivery timelines and ensures other key business calendar events from Marketing, Operations and others are considered in all release activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Background in computer science or related field with advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle
• Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
• Prior experience as a project management or scrum master
• Some programming experience or technical knowledge
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership skills
• Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with 3rd party vendors
• Background of restaurant online systems including Olo, Punchh, and Freedom Pay is desired
• Background in multi-site retail or restaurant operations environments is desired
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Smartsheet, and other software tools

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES

• Education:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent experience
• Experience:8-10 years of technology development experience with 4-5 years in project management or software delivery management roles

8:00 AM 5:00 PM

REMOTE WORK ELIGIBILTY

Up to 40% remote work; Hybrid Work Schedule 2-3 days per week in office
