Description
Summary: To wait on tables promptly, courteously and to serve the guest in any way possible.
Essential Functions:
Experience in fine dining service.
Must have full familiarity with all menus.
Knowledge of daily specials, use opportunities to offer up-sells.
Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings.
Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
Assist bussers with food service or clearing of tables as needed.
To polish and clean the water glasses in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the outlet manager/supervisor.
Courteous service to guests.
Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.
Know general hotel knowledge in order to assist hotel guests with directions.
Adhere to grooming guidelines, wear Z-pin, proper uniform standards.
Follow all proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed.
Tools and Equipment:
Computer and printer, typewriter, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine, file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine
Working Environment:
Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.
Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.
Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.
Exposure to food items and beverages.
