Title: Assistant Childcare Teacher
Duration: 5 months, no extensions
Project Overview:
Our group consists of 4 Children's Centers (Sunnyvale, 2 Mountain View locations, Palo Alto), appx. 150 educators, and 22 management staff. Temp teachers help the centers to maintain a safe teacher child ratio, provide supervision, and maintain quality curriculum during the absence of an FTE. They ensure we keep legal ratios in line with California Licensing regulations.
Overall Responsibilities:
- Supervision and care of young children in a child care classroom.
- Appropriately speak and interact with children.
- Ensure there is always a safe environment.
- Support FTE team with curriculum implementation and reinforcement of established systems (tracking, documentation, charting, etc.)
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory
Experience with children ranging in age from infants (3 months) to preschoolers (5 years). 12 ECE credit units. Proof of COVID vaccination. Able to pick up children who are 30 pounds. Ability to support all 4 locations as needed - (Sunnyvale, 2 Mountain View locations, Palo Alto).
Desired
1 year of experience working in an early childhood education setting. CPR and First Aid certifications. Preferred - 3 Infant Toddler units, in addition to 12 ECE credits (for a total of 15 units)
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
