Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President, Finance the position will assist in the analysis of operational variances resulting from manufacturing activity at the Company's local locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides management with detailed cost data not ordinarily supplied by the general accounting systems by extracting and analyzing production data.

· Ensures the manufactured direct costs are accurate and realistic by verifying and/or correcting the weekly part cost update reports.

· Ensures that the Company's FIFO inventory costs are accurate by performing audits, investigative functions, and calculating overhead costs.

· Participates and assists in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

· Performs and assists with work order analysis on various plant production orders and various plant product costing functions

· Works with Company personnel in determining estimated costs for future products by providing required information

· Assists auditors by participating in the annual physical inventory test count and by providing necessary requested information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited university. Knowledge of Cost accounting and some experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

· Must have knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles

· Must have excellent:

• Analytical and math skills
• Organizational, oral, and written communication skills
• PC software skills, including strong Excel skills, SAP experience a plus

· Able to handle highly confidential information

· Must be detail oriented

· Able to adhere to tight deadlines

· Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role
