We are seeking a Director of Operations to lead multiple support areas of the business, including Business Operations and Human Resources (HR). As a small and growing internationally distributed technology company, we value candidates who can wear multiple hats and operate at multiple levels, from hands-on contributions through strategic leadership. The position will report directly to the company’s Chief Operating Officer, supporting the full executive team as the primary thought leader around Operations and People.

As a Zelus Director of Operations, you will be expected to:
- Oversee daily operations of the company with a focus on Business Operations and Human Resources
- Navigate between strategic thinking and hands-on execution
- Design, implement and optimize systems and processes including business processes, compliance, recruiting, compensation, professional development and DE&I
- Drive People strategy, across policies, procedures, recruiting, retention and operations
- Provide people- and culture-related leadership and coaching across the organization
- Collaborate and communicate effectively in a distributed work environment
- Fulfill other related duties and responsibilities
A qualified candidate will be able to demonstrate most of the following and will be excited to learn the rest:
- Previous experience in operations and/or people operations in a growth environment
- Strong ownership mentality with a bias for action
- Structured problem solving skills, using data and logic to identify opportunities, diagnose issues, evaluate alternatives and synthesize critical information
- Experience working with a distributed, globally remote team, ideally with HR exposure (performance management, professional development, employee relations)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an established record as an effective collaborator

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
