Job Summary:
The Hydrovac Manager is responsible for developing new business relationships while maintaining current business associates and significantly increasing customer satisfaction. Implementing and monitoring capital expenditures, operations of all Hydrovac, Septic Pumping & Water Delivery duties and equipment. This role will also oversee personnel, supervising and coordinating quality and cost focused production teams while maintaining a safety-first attitude. Perform financial analysis to identify opportunities to improve production, quality and profitability.
Essential Functions:
- Direct all activities related to dispatching, routing and tracking vehicles.
- Oversee hours for payroll.
- Actively seeks to expand the customer base.
- Ensures that personnel conduct daily pre-shift and post-shift vehicle inspection and follows all internal policies and procedures, coaching and mentoring the team, as needed.
- Ensure proper reporting of all activities-and adherence to policies.
- Identify ways to improve operations, routes, capacities, costs and asset requirements.
- Identification and implementation of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities.
- Assist in recruiting, training and developing a motivated and effective team.
- Develop an annual budget and review monthly.
- Ensure that company safety culture, is promoted at all times and safety methods, practices and programs are implemented and maintained in conjunction with the Environmental Health & Safety Manager.
- Understands the capabilities, functions and limitations of the hydrovac, televising, industrial maintenance and PSW equipment.
- Ability to perform all duties of positions supervised.
- Willingness to be available and on call, 24x7 for unforeseen emergency response calls.
Competencies or Experience Requirements:
- 3 -5 years supervisory experience
- Class A - CDL License with Tanker Endorsement
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Skilled in planning, organizing and supervising
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management / related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
Travel:
Travel to job sites is required as needed.
