Responsibilities: Work closely with business intelligence, growth engagement, other data stakeholders and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform architecture. Apply standards and best practices to ensure application data is accurate, complete, current, understandable, and accessible. Deepen the organization’s understanding of user level data and provide guidance on how to best leverage data to provide actionable insights. Compile requirements and specifications, and coordinate efforts with engineering and business intelligence teams to implement solutions and resolve blockers (both technical and process). Engage with data managers, and other data stakeholders to implement, maintain, enhance data governance and data quality. Collaborate with business analytics teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools, increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization. Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it. Design, develop, implement and coordinate efficient and effective architectural frameworks, guidelines, policies and procedures for data management and data flow. Skills and Experience needed for success in this role: Experience building data architecture strategy from the ground up with an understanding of modern principles and frameworks. Expert knowledge of data modeling, design and management. Hands-on experience with data transformation tools like DBT. Blend of skills in Big Data technologies, database management, data integration tools, and business acumen. Strong development background in delivering data solutions. Excellent hands-on experience in working with SQL and NoSQL data sets. Experience designing complex SQL queries, tables, views, and procedures, including performance tuning and query optimization. Experience with developing data products using data visualization / dashboarding tools like Sisense/Periscope. Experience with mobile app events and mobile payments, in-app purchases, subscriptions and processing financial transactions. Experience with data streaming architectures, such as Kafka. Strong knowledge of general software engineering principles and practices. Development experience using Node.js/Express, Typescript. Effective communicator and collaborator, within the immediate team and across other organizational units.
