Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for nearly 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. Zepf Center also offers primary care medical services to our patients to contribute to their continuum of care. Zepf Center is a trauma-informed agency and environment for both patients and staff.

We are currently seeking a full-time Job Developer to develop and secure employment sites in the community for persons with disabilities. The person in this position will assist program clients in the acquisition of job-seeking skills and providing vocational case management services to participants in the placement program. The person in this position will act as a liaison with employers and referral agents The person in this position works with community employers and develops competitive jobs for program participants. They will market and coordinate people and programs. They will train groups and individuals in the areas of job-seeking skills, resume preparation, attitudinal/motivational techniques toward employment. The person in this position works with individuals with mental and/or other disabilities.

Competencies & Essential Functions

1. Develops appropriate competitive jobs in the community based on participant preference and needs. Coordinates matching of individuals to job openings. Works cooperatively with job trainer in completion of environmental analysis and compatibility analysis for jobs developed. Provides feedback to referring agencies/staff; communicates with employers and provides follow-up/consultation services to employers and clients. Works closely with other NetWORK program staff.
2. Markets the NetWORK program and placement participants by educating community employers regarding he program concepts and advantages by providing dynamic and innovative public relations.
3. May conduct job search and employer expectation training; instructs clients in appropriate interview behaviors and employer expectations; assists in job search and resume development. Assists/trains staff in same.
4. Develops and maintains positive working relationships with community employers (businesses) and referral sources.
5. May provide backup services such as coaching and evaluation as needed.
6. Obtains desired outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree preferred with three years of job development or vocational rehabilitation experience
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted
• Strong language skills
