Summary:
The Assembly Technician I works under the direction of the Director of Operations or Lead. This person follows work instructions and procedures to build products and subassemblies and complete other production tasks as required. The Assembly Technician I is responsible for setting up and operating production equipment in accordance with work instructions and provided training. Under supervision, the person in this position tests products for functionality and quality and completes necessary production documents and records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Director of Operations or Lead, responsibilities of the Assembly Technician I include:
Manufacturing
- Build, test, and inspect products and/or prototypes with guidance.
- Follow work instructions and established practices to meet product specifications.
- Interpret simple mechanical drawings.
- Operate test equipment.
- Test mechanical products, sub-assemblies, and prototypes with guidance.
- Complete production work orders, checklists, and other forms accurately.
- Report issues with products, parts, or equipment.
- Participate in production-focused improvement projects.
- Perform maintenance on equipment and tools as instructed.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes as required.
- Perform masking, cleaning, and painting of parts
General
- Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance.
- Follow Zepher safety procedures, including the use of personal protective gear such as eye and ear protection, gloves, respirators, coveralls, and hard hats.
- Understand, follow, and contribute to the improvement of relevant Zepher procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain 5S standards within manufacturing areas
- Other cross-functional duties as assigned.
