Summary
Zepto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be pivotal in the development and testing of our cutting-edge diagnostic platforms. Your responsibilities will include preparing and validating reagents, conducting advanced molecular experiments, and performing comprehensive data analysis. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and ensuring meticulous documentation of all laboratory procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory techniques, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Essential Duties
- Draft, execute, and document detailed test plans, including qPCR and other advanced molecular experiments.
- Conduct rigorous testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic assay platforms.
- Prepare and validate PCR and other test reagents according to established protocols.
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot technical issues to optimize laboratory procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all experimental procedures, results, and observations in laboratory notebooks and electronic systems.
- Analyze experimental data, compile insights, and prepare comprehensive technical reports.
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of scientific presentations.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to support ongoing research and development initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior lab technicians, providing expertise and support as needed.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support ongoing research and development projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in PCR/qPCR.
- Minimum of 2 years of industry-related experience in biotechnology, life sciences, or medical device development.
- Experience in in vitro diagnostics (IVD) product development.
- Proven proficiency in data collection, analysis, and presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including senior and junior scientists, engineers, chemists, and biologists.
Skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding junior lab technicians.

Job Type
- Full-time, Monday-Friday 9:00am - 5:30pm (half-hour unpaid lunch), onsite.

- Some traveling may be required.
