OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW
ZeroFox seeks a strategic thinker to join our Product team in innovating new solutions to protect customers from a constantly evolving array of threats being launched from external digital channels such as the dark web, phishing campaigns, and social media. ZeroFox is the leader and innovator in digital risk protection and threat intelligence services, and you’ll be working alongside the smartest engineers, product managers, data scientists, threat researchers, product marketers, and security professionals in the business to disrupt and dismantle the cyber kill chain.Â
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with a team of engineers to build solutions to address our customers' problems. You will also work across multiple functions, working with Sales and Sales Engineering to gather requirements from customers, collaborate with Services to ensure our products are meeting customer needs, and work with product marketing to launch new and upgraded offerings. As a subject matter expert, the organization will look to you to create and maintain a strategic vision for the evolution of the ZeroFox platform. You will need to balance feature requests, competitive challenges, innovation, analyst commentary, and market signals to create and execute on a roadmap that ensures ZeroFox customers are protected against a constantly changing array of security threats.Â
- Domain Experience: You have a background in cybersecurity, fraud detection, or a related field.
- Maintain a vision for the product and the company, based on your research of customers, competitors, and analysts.Â
- Communicate the vision and roadmap with stakeholders, customers, and analysts.Â
- Prioritize the roadmap based on input from stakeholders such as customers, Sales, SEs, Marketing, and ZeroFox Executives.Â
- Manage execution on each Engineering sprint, working with Engineering to clearly articulate requirements and monitor progress throughout each sprint.Â
- Drive execution in line with the company’s rapid growth in customers.Â
- Create and maintain metrics to measure the success of your product in delivering value to customers.
- Strategic Thinker: You have a track record that demonstrates the ability to think strategically about solutions to high-value customer problems, and to create compelling artifacts that convey that vision to stakeholders in the company, to customers, and to the market at large.Â
- Data Driven: You must possess a high level of data literacy, building a strategic product plan that addresses all aspects of the product life cycle: initial requirements gathering, competitive positioning, design, development, packaging, pricing, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Be the CEO of your product: Product managers at ZeroFox are expected to own the success of their product, building champions for your product both inside and outside of the company. The product manager is expected to be the domain expert, a valuable resource for both customers and ZeroFox staff. Â
- Curiosity: You must possess an ongoing curiosity about topics relevant to your job and always ask questions such as, Where is the market going? What do customers really need? What makes a good product? What makes a good requirement? Never stop learning.Â
- Judgment: As a Senior Product Manager at ZeroFox you will be responsible for critical decision-making impacting all areas of the company's strategy and direction, as such you will be expected to demonstrate excellent judgment when committing company resources.Â
- Detail orientation: You need to keep track of individual feature requests and bug fixes, knowing the product inside and out and having detailed knowledge of what stories on which sprints will fix a key bug reported by a critical customer. You are an expert at preventing critical details from falling through the cracks.Â
- Communication: You must be able to speak and write well. Writing succinctly is essential for creating clear requirements for Engineering. You must also convince others and advocate for your point of view but be capable of gathering input from others. Listening is as important for communication as speaking. As an international company, you must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Leadership: When something needs to be done the Product Manager is often the catalyst to go and do it. You must work with others at multiple levels, including executives, to bring your vision to reality. You must inspire others with your understanding of customer needs and your vision for the marketplace.Â
- Technical: Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, information security, statistics, or a related field is preferred. Knowing one or a few programming languages (Python, Ruby, Perl, Java, etc.) and being comfortable with APIs and databases is critical for effectively working with engineers, as well as knowing how to bring a product vision to reality.Â
- An MBA may also be helpful but what really matters is a demonstrated track record in defining and shipping products that successfully meet the needs of customers. Â
- Competitive compensation
- Community-driven culture with employee events
- Generous time offÂ
- Comprehensive health benefits & 401(k) plan
- Respectful and nourishing work environment, where every opinion is heard and everyone is encouraged to be an active part of the organizational culture
