Role and responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the development and Product teams to understand software requirements, design specifications, and user stories.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts using industry-standard testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Create and enhance automated test suites to validate the functionality, performance, scalability, and security of software applications.
  • Write efficient and reliable tests using tools like Cypress and/or Venom to ensure end-to-end testing coverage across multiple platforms and devices.
  • Continuously improve and expand test coverage by identifying and implementing new test cases and strategies based on evolving software requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, working closely with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish best practices, testing standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Contribute to the overall quality culture of the organization by promoting a mindset of shift-left testing, continuous improvement and quality excellence.


Required qualifications and skills
  • Experience working in a QA Automation Engineer/SDET or similar role, with focus on designing and executing automated test suites for both UI end-to-end and backend integration tests, typically obtained in 3-5 years.
  • Programming skills in languages like Python, C#, JavaScript, Typescript or similar, with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
  • Experience in writing tests using Playwright, Cypress, Venom or similar tools.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of microservice and/or loosely coupled architectures.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Jira).
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clearly articulate testing-related insights and recommendations.
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Spanish and English. 
  • Strong attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality software products.


Desired qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Experience with other test case management tools such as TestRail, Xray, or Zephyr.
  • Knowledge of performance testing and load testing methodologies and tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
