Position Description:
This position will include split activities from both accounting and financial analysis with the emphasis being more on accounting related work. The position supports both our Fenton and Fowlerville, MI Brake Controls manufacturing plants. It is an onsite position, and the candidate can choose to sit at either location or go back and forth between the locations. We are currently migrating to a new software system and during the first six months of employment candidate will be a key contributor in the accounting migration working on various projects to include:

What you can look forward to as a Financial Analyst:

• Assist with the fixed asset inventory of both manufacturing plants.

• Assist in the setup of new cost accounting standards for the products sold.

• Assist with the clean-up of open accounts payable items prior to migration.

• Other ad-hoc projects as they come up related to the software migration project.

• Responsible for month-end journal entries

• Assisting with annual budget and forecasting.

• Internal Controls

Your Profile as a Financial Analyst:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting

• 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting role (manufacturing experience preferred)

• Strong interpersonal skills (ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism)

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to willingly follow instructions and direction.

• Ability to perform calculations with whole numbers quickly and accurately, without a calculator.
