Position Description
This position will be located in the ZF Active Safety & Electronics facility in Lafayette, Indiana where we manufacture steering components for Commercial Vehicles. The Electrician Journeyman is responsible for installation and repair of electric components and setup on machines and equipment at the plant. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.

Position Requirements:

• Repair, adjust, disassemble replace parts and reassemble machines, mechanical and hydraulic equipment to proper operating condition.
• Select the required material and parts.
• Work from blueprints, drawings or sketches.
• In general, diagnoses, repairs and overhauls machines, mechanical and hydraulic equipment.
• Adapts to new methods, processes, material and equipment.
• Adapt to new methods, processes material and equipment.
• Dismantles, moves, installs and aligns machinery, plant equipment, conveyors, washers, etc, using hoists, cranes, tractors, jacks, rollers and other rigging devices.
• Uses hand, power, leveling and measuring tools associated with the trade.
• Must have the ability to work alone and with others while following all safety guidelines.
