About the Team: The new EJ line supervisory team leads and manages production departmental activities to meet and/or exceed customer and company objectives.

What you can look forward to as a Production Superintendent:

• Actively participate as a strategic member of the ZF management team with a customer focused approach on safety, quality, deliver, cost, and morale to ensure continuous improvement in all facets of the business.
• Manage all manufacturing/assembly activities to manufacture and produce quality parts in a cost-efficient manner.
• Plan, select, design, and develop manufacturing methods and processes through continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques.
• Lead/Direct/Supervise the activities of all exempt personnel and indirect support functions for up to / exceeding three hundred (300) personnel.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers to meet common goals.
• Manage the team within our production system, (Safety, ISO, QS, TS, etc.) company policies, and procedures.
• Manage the development of all employees (Exempt or Non-Exempt).
• Review and approve employee timecards in Payroll system including vacation, PTO, etc. in a timely manner.
• Track and train production employees for growth and development by ensuring employees are qualified and trained for assigned position and current level qualifications.
• Accountable for performance management to include coaching, corrective counseling, and disciplinary actions, submitting employee step progressions, performance reviews, and any other ZF documentation relative to employee’s performance.

Your Profile as a Production Superintendent:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 6 years of progressive experience in a professional position with a strong production interface
• 3 years of experience in project management and/or supervisory function
• Strong computer skills are required: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Project, etc.
• Problem solving skills.
• Proven interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
• Proven leadership skills
• Expert level knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing/operations
• Proven ability to use and train individuals to use production/manufacturing equipment
• Advanced knowledge of plant operations management and lean principles, processes, and techniques
• Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks.
• English language competency
• Ability for travel-both domestic and foreign.
