Vehicle Test Instrumentation Lab Technician

We are looking for a new colleague in the Vehicle Test Garage at our location in Livonia, Michigan.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle & Simulator Wiring Harness Builds: Develop and build program specific wire harnesses for vehicle and simulation testing.
- Instrumentation & Testing Support: Oversee calibration of all lab equipment understanding specifications and requirements and lead the selection of new equipment as the old becomes obsolete; Perform calibration on selected equipment developing and maintaining documentation according to quality standards; Work with various data acquisition equipment with understanding of the CAN Interfaces between it and the vehicle.
- Software and Tool Support: Support Engineering Development Group on technical problems utilizing Vector tools including gateway, message formatting and translations; Support Engineering Development Group on technical problems with DataMiner.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or comparable related experience.
- Strong electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Experienced with using various test equipment, sensors and computer programs.
- Experience with signal conditioning and data acquisition.
- Strong foundation in mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, software and data acquisition.
