General Description: The Egg Donor Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the delivery of health care and patient care in regard to Egg Donor services.
Supervision Received: Reports to Medical Director/Practice Manager
Essential Functions:
- Seek to operate the NHFC in house egg donor program in a manner that optimizes availability of program donors to NHFC recipients and to NHFC patients desiring to preserve fertility through oocyte donation, donor oocyte freezing.
- Promote patients reproductive health by collaborating with NHFC physicians and other multi-disciplinary team members in matching recipients with NHFC egg donors.
- Provide education, counseling and support to recipients, program egg donors, and embryo donors.
- Guidance and supportive measures given to recipient couples seeking to use an egg donor(s) for future IVF treatment at NHFC.
- Assist with clerical and other office duties as needed.
- Work closely with and serve as a resource to the in-house donor program for other coordinators on the Third-Party team, IVF staff, NHFC physicians and nurses.
- Take ownership of the care of donors and recipients through the match process.
- Collaborate with attorneys, marketing department, psychologists, financial coordinators and others throughout the match process.
- Collaborates with the team to determine the efficacy of the donor process flow; recognizes opportunities for increased efficiency and makes recommendations to the Medical Director.
- Works closely with the Marketing Department to assist with and ensure success of egg donor recruitment events/activities.
- Learn, follow, and keep up-to-date with FDA regulations for HCT/Ps and ASRM guidelines related to Third Party Reproduction.
- Counseling patients about all details of egg donor and embryo donation selection and the steps in the match process.
- Maintaining Excel spreadsheets of the NHFC Donor Program cases. Provide cycle specific outcome data.
- Assess for needed improvements or changes in the NHFC Donor Program and participate in the solutions.
Education
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science/or current Medical Certification.
Experience
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in an infertility medical setting.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management, customer service, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to work well in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and an individualized, compassionate approach to patient care.
