Full Job Description
Zia Development Corporation is looking for an experienced marketer to join our team based in San Antonio. The Marketing Specialist leads the marketing efforts for one of the up and coming residential remodeling firms in the Hill Country. Our projects include whole house remodels, kitchens, baths, and additions for upscale homeowners.
Position Summary:
- Responsible for designing, creating, and delivering compelling marketing programs that generate leads and support the growth and expansion of the company
- Budgeting, planning, coordination, and tactical implementation of the marketing plan
- Gathers, analyzes, and reports on key marketing metrics to continually monitor and refine the plan
- Supports the sales efforts of the organization
- Collaborating cross-departmentally with sales, design, and production staff to produce and execute marketing that builds brand awareness
- Differentiates Zia Development Corporation, and generates leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and budgeting
- Working with management, define quarterly and annual marketing goals, objectives, strategies, and budgets
- Set annual lead goals, track and measure results, perform quarterly lead analysis, including close rates and ROI cost analysis
- Builds an annual tactical marketing plan that encompasses all avenues and marketing materials including digital, print, events, grassroots, installed base, and PR - measures results and proactively adjusts
- Oversees and monitors marketing budget
- Digital marketing
- Manages content and updates to Zia Development website
- Develops all copy for web content, including case studies, employee biographies, monthly blog posts, lead generation content, etc.
- Manages and produces content for all social media, including Instagram, Facebook, Linked-In, Google Business, Houzz, NextDoor, Diamond Certified, and Yelp
- Manages multiple email automations on Constant Contact
- Creates and deploys monthly organic newsletters
- Manages and organizes email subscriber lists.
- Works with outside digital team to create and manage digital campaigns utilizing Google and Facebook
- Continually analyzes effectiveness of campaigns and proactively adjusts where needed
Print Advertising and Direct Mail
- Identifies and recommends advertising opportunities in local print publications, manages relationships with media outlets and negotiates contracts
- Oversees creative development for print ads working with an outside graphic designer.
- Develops and executes direct mail strategy
- Responsible for producing content and overseeing production and mailing
Sales Collateral
- Oversee the design, development, and execution of all sales collateral
Events
- Promote, manage, and produce content for customer-facing remodeling seminars and webinars, including venue set-up and tear-down
- Assist with planning and execution of internal events such as team-building gatherings and local industry events
Lead Management
- Enter leads in BuilderTrend software system
- Proactively monitor lead activity and adjust marketing to meet lead volume targets and ensure continual lead flow
- Respond to digital lead inquiries from email, digital and social media, and Skipio texts
- Respond to phone inquiries when Customer Relations staff member is out of office
Client Outreach and Other Promotion
- Coordinate 3rd party surveys of closed contract jobs
- Manage email automation campaigns to past clients
- Work with sales team to coordinate client or referral gifts
- Develop and execute grassroots outreach that targets the local neighborhoods and generates brand awareness
- Ensure vehicle wraps, vehicle magnetic signs, job signs, pop-up tents, and building signage are in good condition
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three to five years related marketing experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Presentation skills
- Demonstrated experience in small business marketing
- Experience with email campaign management software, online advertising, and automation marketing tools
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to develop compelling social media content that communicates the company’s mission and culture
- Self-starter with the ability to proactively work and problem-solve with minimal direction
- Experience in the residential home building or construction trades highly desirable
