WHO YOU ARE:
The Application Administrator maintains, monitors, and supports software systems and applications used within the organization. Will function as the primary support resource for one or more systems and/or applications with multiple concurrent users. Responsible for the configuration and customization required to meet the needs of the organization and user base. Ensures application control, integrity, and accessibility via problem-solving, testing, and debugging. Develops and maintains documentation for application access, usage, workflows and procedures. The position is best filled by an energetic, self-motivated individual with a passion for technology, innovation, and problem-solving.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Serve as the owner of and subject matter expert for the application
- Develop and maintain all aspects of the application, including but not limited to standard settings/configs and libraries/content
- Collaborate with appropriate IT groups to ensure proper integration of the application
- Determine license requirements, monitor utilization, and communicate licensing needs to management
- Facilitate the creation and management of users & groups to control access for the application
- Monitor the application, troubleshoot problems, document solutions
- Field support tickets for the application
- Define standard versions and update schedule
- Plan, test, communicate, and implement changes/updates
- Coordinate installation/deployment requirements with appropriate IT group
- Coordinate and communicate maintenance windows
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as they relate to our business processes
- Identify and provide recommendations for new technologies that may improve or replace current solutions
- Gather internal feedback and develop and/or implement functional improvements
- Develop and maintain documentation and training materials
- Provide training to staff
- When external development is required, oversee all aspects of the development project
- Travel as needed to meet the needs of the position, which includes professional development opportunities
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Associate's degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience.
- Minimum 3 yrs experience performing data analysis, using MS SQL Server, Oracle and MS Excel.
- Experience with pre-conversion data validations & post-conversion data clean-up.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, and takes initiative.
- Demonstrates a drive for continuous learning and development of new skills.
- Strong capacity for independent and abstract thinking and the ability to organize information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experienced in researching, testing, and implementing innovative solutions.
- Proven ability as a subject matter expert supporting, maintaining, and administering applications.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and implement both short-term and long-term projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to effectively interface with technical and nontechnical staff at all organizational levels.
- Motivated to solicit and capture quality feedback with the ability to be a good listener and work well with others.
- Proven soft skills in the presentation of ideas and the ability to clearly articulate concepts to senior management.
- Proficiency working within a Windows environment, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience with programming and/or regular expressions is preferred.
- Experience with database design principles and management is preferred.
