Position Summary
The Purchasing Agent takes a lead role in the procurement process with specific responsibilities for processing purchasing documents and materials, responding to related inquiries, and maintaining vendor/source information and inventories. This position is a hybrid role and on-site once a week in Eden Prairie, MN.
Essential Functions
- Utilize MRP to plan the procurement of materials for production while monitoring and controlling inventory levels
- Maintain and enter a high volume purchase orders, compile purchasing reports, and process supplier and vendor invoices
- Process bids, purchasing documents and respond to related inquiries to facilitate the purchasing process with established practices
- Informs staff and vendors regarding procedural requirements (ordering and purchasing procedures, etc.)
- Monitor the movement of product to receipt, and resolve supplier shipping or billing issues
- Compile and review reference data from a variety of sources, codes, policies, vendor sources, etc.
- Manages import transportation and customs clearance, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- SAP experience
- Ability to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Travel Requirements
This position will work primarily at Zinpro Corporate Headquarters in Eden Prairie, MN.
