Position Summary
Working under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Facilities Lead for Zion Church’s Woodbridge VA administrative office and Sunday Experience campus locations will supervise, and coordinate facilities support services; while overseeing facilities planning, maintenance, and custodial operations for both locations. Additionally, they serve as the primary point of contact for the Sunday Experience and special event building operations which are held at Woodbridge Senior High School (WSHS).
Essential Duties
- Supervises, schedules, and coordinates the activities of the ZWB facilities team members.
- Directs the setup/breakdown processes for the Sunday Experiences and special events on the ZWB campus by implementing and overseeing processes so WSHS is returned to its original configuration prior to departure.
- Ensures ZWB storage areas are organized so the equipment remains in working condition.
- Trains the Facilities Clerks and volunteers in the proper methods to set-up, break down and store the equipment by creating standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and checklists.
- Maintains inventory records of ZWB equipment and supplies located at the administrative office, WSHS, and storage sites.
- Serves as First Responder to security alarm alerts at the ZWB Administrative Office
- Manages building maintenance and custodial operations for the Administrative Office and WSHS.
- Conducts daily, weekly, and monthly physical inspection of the administrative office and at WSHS campus facilities; and reports any repairs needed to the points of contact at the respective locations.
- Oversees simple maintenance and repair of building systems, equipment, and furniture.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Previous facilities, maintenance or custodial operations experience is preferred.
- Punctuality is a must; the Facilities Lead will be the first person onsite and is typically the last person to leave, particularly for the Sunday Experience.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment.
- The ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Expertise managing paid staff and volunteers.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check.
