ZLR Ignition is looking for a Media Buyer/Planner join our team helping to deliver top notch advertising campaigns. The successful candidate will collaborate across internal departments, build relationships with outside sales representatives and of course ensure plans deliver as ordered. Job Duties
- Participate in the development and management of effective integrated media campaigns and buys
- Negotiate media rates, added value and ad space positions across mediums (digital, television, radio, print and outdoor)
- Oversee the approval of media invoices, reconcile billing discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date billing documentation
- Plans and maintains knowledge in all channels include TV, Radio, Print, OOH, digital and emerging technologies
- Well-versed in digital media platforms including SEM, social, display, programmatic and video
- Maintains media plans including flowchart changes, ATBs, insertion orders and ongoing reporting
- Ensures account and creative teams have a clear understanding of placements by creating and managing ad production worksheets
- Manages insertion orders in SBMS and Advantage
- Recommends optimizations when appropriate to improve media performance
- Develops and fosters strong relationships with media partners
- Prepares reports on results, insights and future recommendations for all media buying clients
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or advertising
- Previous experience in marketing/advertising, preferable with an advertising agency in the media planning/buying function
- Have experience with both traditional and digital media
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Detail-oriented, strong organizational and analytical skills
- Must be located in the greater Des Moines area, not a remote opportunity
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in media
- Experience with digital platforms such as: Google Ads, Google Analytics, Facebook Business Manager, Datorama or Tableau, Google Ad Studio, etc.
- Experience with media tools such as, but not limited to: MRI, Nielsen, Strata, Scarborough, Telmar, Simmons, Kantar, etc.
- Knowledge of general media concepts, keywords, procedures, and strategies
