Engineering Intern

The Engineering Intern works in a semi-independently on standalone Engineering projects, as a contributor to a larger project team, and on other assigned duties in support of site Engineering activities. Areas of focus may include equipment/system reliability, utilities and sustainability initiatives, develop reporting tools to measure effectiveness of current processes, technical data gathering and evaluation, and analysis of standard engineering/maintenance processes. Other activities include development, refinement, and implementation preventive/predictive maintenance programs in a systematic, data-based, and professional manner to support the Lincoln site manufacturing efforts.

• Support overall reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, and facilities.
• Enhance reliability centered maintenance programs to improve the operational efficiency/effectiveness of systems supporting the site's manufacturing efforts.
• Implement predictive measures/analysis and condition based monitoring programs that reduce the number of equipment failures and minimizes the effects of those failures.
• Support the site's goals for Right First Time and Continuous Improvement.
• Participate in the design and approval of new installations to ensure the required level of maintainability and reliability.
• Analyze current and historical equipment performance data to determine and recommend solutions to chronic problems.
• Define, develop, and/or refine preventive maintenance and calibration procedures for new and existing equipment.
• Contribute to specialized departmental teams that support Sustainability, Quality, Transformation, and Lean initiatives.
• Interface with the Zoetis Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for data input and report generation.
• Organize and manage other site projects as assigned.
