Position Summary:
The Senior Manager Finance IT Business Partner will work closely with Finance leaders within multiple functions to maximize the impact of IT capabilities on business performance and ensure IT services meet business needs and objectives. Reporting to the Enabling Functions Business Partner lead within Enabling Functions, this person will play a critical role to ensure the Finance function leverages technology solutions to achieve business objectives.
This position will work closely with other Zoetis Tech & Digital TD functions including the Commercial Delivery Center, 3rd party Providers, IT Compliance, Infrastructure, Operations, Project Management Office along with business colleagues to plan, define and execute all design and development related activities.
- Act as the senior IT advisor to Finance leadership
- Drive business process improvement and automation using new and existing IT capabilities
- Identify potential new business capabilities to be enabled by technology and implemented either within the Next Gen ERP Project (S/4HANA) or independently throughout the year as a separate project
- Facilitate and become the liaison for communications between IT and the business
- Participate in the development of IT business strategies and plans that support the Finance function
- Participate in the enterprise portfolio and budget development process by representing business priorities and objectives
- Develop, manage, and own approved budget spends, update forecasts and ensure actual expenses are properly captured and accounted throughout project timelines
- Participate in business leadership team meetings to better understand potential issues or opportunities
- Identify and prioritize new requests for IT solutions and services
- Develop and manage Finance project portfolios while providing consistent open communication with the Finance Director IT Business Partner to ensure agreement on approach
- Develop business/functional cross platform solution requirements
- Assure delivery of IT solutions and services, and owning resolution of delivery issues
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree required
- 8-10 years' experience within IT and/or as part of a finance function
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to absorb and analyze new technologies and business processes
- Strong knowledge with enterprise applications such as SAP, used to support the business function
- Proven ability to interface with personnel at all levels, including senior leadership executives
- Prior experience in partnering with the finance function to define and deliver technology solutions

- Industry/Business Knowledge - Should understand issues and trends facing the Animal Health industry in addition to issues specific to their aligned business unit.
- Tech-Savvy - Should be able to speak intelligently on the advantages and disadvantages of a broad range of technologies and services provided
- Financial Management - Should be able to assist in developing business cases for IT solutions
- Soft Skills:
- Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively to be able to participate in business discussions and planning sessions
- Negotiations Skills: Must possess strong negotiations skills when building agreements and contracts with the business
- Relationship Management: Must maintain a strong positive relationship with the business; should be seen as a partner and advisor and should work to maintain high customer satisfaction
- Sales: Must be able to effectively market and sell IT services to the business units
