We are looking for a Global Head of Corporate Sustainability to continue to operationalize the strategic plan and advance our ESG agenda to amplify our impact and contribution on communities, animal health and the environment.
Description
- Support the EVP, Corp. Affairs, Communications & Sustainability in driving Zoetis’ sustainability agenda and meeting desired objectives and metrics
- Work collaboratively with senior business leaders and the ZET, including the Chief Executive Officer as well as other leaders in Commercial, R&D, Manufacturing and Supply, Finance, HR, Corporate Affairs/Communications, and IT departments
- Play a highly visible role with direct impact on the evolution of the market leader in animal health
- Play a highly visible role with external stakeholders, including customers and industry participants
Responsibilities:
This role has two main focus areas:
- Drive overall sustainability agenda and provide expertise on sustainability trends and implications
- Engage Senior Leaders on sustainability and progress towards goals; provide visibility to Zoetis Executive Team and support updates to the Board of Directors
- Review and adapt portfolio of sustainability initiatives regularly
- Advance ESG strategy for reporting to investors and stakeholders and drive reporting process in collaboration with Corporate Affairs, Finance and Investor Relations teams
- Monitor sustainability trends and advise initiatives on implications for Zoetis (incl. conducting supporting analyses)
- Bridge expertise between Zoetis initiative owners and sustainability stakeholder community
- Provide focused support in agenda execution
- Advance Zoetis’ climate strategy in partnership with Manufacturing & Supply, Finance, IT and commercial teams
- Serve as thought partner on sustainability topics to help markets and functions with execution
- Link the sustainability agenda to the overall strategic agenda by partnering closely with Corporate Strategy team
- Break down sustainability goals into targets / KPIs for relevant leaders and link to performance management
- Ensure that annual operating plan inputs around sustainability result in cohesive set of actions to meet sustainability targets
- Work with initiative owners on topical or regional forums to bring in Zoetis’ sustainability perspective
Requirements:
- BA required; MBA preferred
- Background in sustainability and social impact; strategy consulting experience preferred
- Background in life sciences / animal health / agriculture preferred
- Strong presence and collaborative working style with the ability to drive cross-functional projects
- History of being resourceful and self-motivated, with ability to operate with limited direction and prioritize based on business and stakeholder value
