Job Summary
This position is responsible for leading and being the expert in all aspects of the software development life-cycle for the AR Boost product line. The AR Boost Architect will research, recommend and introduce new technologies consistent with the objectives of the product. The Architect will communicate with all engineers on the team to ensure a consistent, quality, and efficient software solution is delivered to the customer base.
Responsibilities
- Provide innovative solutions, following and promoting architectural standards that currently exist within the AR Boost product line.
- Work closely with Product Management on ideation and discovery of new products and features
- Work with the director of software development to ensure architectural principles are aligned with business strategy.
- Provide mentorship on new technologies to engineering.
- Review and approve architecture proposals for new products and features.
- Provide architecture vision, roadmap, integration and problem solving at a product level.
- Demonstrate breakthrough thinking in defining and prototyping the use of leading-edge technologies and capabilities
- Responsible for long-term scaling strategies related to the growth of the product
- Identify and promote shared services and components to reduce cost and improve information flows.
- Provide guidance to software engineers through various means, such as code reviews and paired programming
Qualifications
Required
- At least 10 years of experience in IT, Business Architecture or Software Engineering
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior engineer role
- Experience in agile development practices & methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
- Experience implementing resilient AWS cloud applications and platform services.
- Experience running highly available and resilient revenue generating applications in a public cloud and IaaS, including real world experience with AWS
- Experience with modern, cloud technologies (containers, container orchestration, NoSQL, auto scaling, micro-services architecture, mobile, etc.)
- Experience with modern data and analytical platform architectures and use of AI and Machine Learning
- Experience running Microsoft stack in AWS a big plus
- Strong understanding of the architectural principals of cloud-based platforms including SaaS, PaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers
- Understanding of enterprise application integration and an understanding of integration considerations such as process orchestration, customer data integration, analytics and master data management
- A good understanding of the security processes and standards
- Ability to nurture and support a strong DevOps culture
- Demonstrated ability of establishing and maintaining metrics-based process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to develop strong alliances with those outside of your immediate organization
- Excellent communications, organization, and time management skills
Preferred
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field

The minimum salary for this position is $155,000.00 annually. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and location.
